My Content System

How to Automate Your Content with Videos That Turn Viewers into Fans and Fans into Customers
Okay, so what’s my ‘system’? And how do you make and automate the best videos for your brand to get the highest return from what you post on social media?
Awesome questions.
Essentially, this works as any system. It produces a predictable result every time.
Think of a vending machine where you put in money and get back cookies. It’s similar to that.
You put in information about your business, your brand, yourself & your avatar, and it helps you construct the best videos for your brand to grow an audience and convert paying customers.
This does take time. The more time you put in, the better videos you will make.
Read to the end and you'll know what videos to make based on your customers' needs. Plus, how to make and automate them for the best return on your time!
5 Parts:
1) Your Impact
2) Your Brand
3) Yourself & Your Avatar
4) Your Content
5) Your Roadmap
First, I’ll give an overview of each part.
Don’t skip this.
After, we’ll walk through each part together.
Each part is a building block for what your videos will look and feel like.
1) Your Impact
what your story contributes to the world
This is how you got here and what you aim to do. It’s important that people are familiar with your journey because this is what makes your content personable. If your audience knows your mission it’s easier for them to associate with your brand.
Your impact also includes the space you’re in, aka your niche or industry. What do you offer and how does your business make money? This is what some of your videos will be about.
Also included in this section is the impact you want your videos to have on people. Wtf are you actually trying to accomplish as a business? Get money? Or something greater? Your videos will communicate this too.
Most importantly, your impact is how your brand expresses itself. What is the unique imprint it leaves on the world? And how does it leave that imprint? I believe the best way to make impactful videos is by telling good stories. This creates the deepest emotional connection with your audience and will be the core of each video. Good stories shape the personality of your brand.
2) Your Brand
your business's identity, personality, values & mission
What do you want people to think when they see your business? This is something you have the power to decide for your audience. Your content should decide that for them. You want people to think good things, specific things about what your brand represents, and by making certain videos, you can influence those thoughts in your audience.
What do you want people to feel when they see your business? You should decide this for people, too, not the other way around. The best way to do this is by making the most specific content for your avatar. Telling the right stories in the right way to the right people is one of the best ways to create a strong brand.
3) Yourself & Your Avatar
who your videos are for
In this section, you’ll learn who to make your videos for. So many people get this part wrong. A great personal brand is personable to you. The best thing you can do for your audience is ignore them. Don’t make videos for your audience. Make videos that YOU would watch, and people who like you will become your audience.
That said, the better you know your ideal customer, the better videos you can make. This is because you can speak clearly and directly to one specific type of person. Here we’ll get specific about what your ideal customer desires and what their pain points are. In some way, your videos will tap into and satisfy these things on an emotional level.
We’ll also get hyper-specific about what your ideal customer is searching for. Not necessarily literally. But what are they really trying to do with their life right now? If you tell good stories that help answer that for people and show them how, you’ll create real fans who enjoy listening and buying from you.
How can you make the best videos that convert the most customers, but also HELP the MOST people? If you’re not being helpful to people in some way by either teaching, entertaining, or inspiring, you’re polluting the internet.
4) Your Content
what to make, why, & how
First, we’ll go over the importance of content and why every personal brand needs to be telling stories with cool videos.
Next, I’ll show you what kind of videos you should make based on who you are, who your avatar is, what you want your brand to feel like, and the impact you want your business to have.
Then we’ll get deep into how to make those videos. This will include how to plan, script, shoot, edit, and schedule all your content.
Finally, and super importantly, how to automate your content. I’ll show you how my clients and I plan our videos so we can get the best return for our time.
5) Your Roadmap
deliverable, intention, goal, & plan
At this point, you’ll know who you’re making videos for, what you’re making, how to make them, and how to automate them.
We’ll put that all together into a detailed roadmap that lays out the amount of content you’re delivering to your audience and when.
Everything you post needs to be done with a specific intention. So we’ll define that in this section too, getting clear on what we hope to accomplish with each video.
Also, we’ll create your content goal for the year. Do not just post content, aim for something. Have a goal in mind and a strategy to reach that goal.
Finally, your plan. Break your goal down into actionable monthly, weekly, and daily tasks. I’ll show you how I do this here.
If You Don’t Want to Do All of This:
- Make a content plan
- Think of ideas
- Film those ideas
- Edit the videos
- Post the videos
- Engage with your community
- Be consistent
- Track if it’s converting
- Do it all again until you automate or hire it out
- Risk someone f*cking it up
I'll make & automate your content: $0 monthly retainer, less than 1 hour/week of your time, and I guarantee you profit month in 1.
This will take time so get out a notebook or google doc.
The more time you put into this, the better videos you will produce because the more you’ll know why you’re doing what you are.
Business goat Alex Hormozi describes a brand as a bouquet of flowers. Each flower is a different thing that contributes to your brand and makes it unique as a whole. The different flowers in Hormozi’s ‘bouquet’ might include business, education, philosophy, dessert, working out, investing, etc.
Everyone has different interests. My point is, if you’re only making content about one thing, or one flower, your brand isn’t UNIQUE to YOU because you’re interested in more than one thing. And so are the people watching you!
For example, if you’re only making content about your business, say, generating leads for local service providers, it’d be better to change your account to “Local Lead Generation”.
But if you want to build a strong, unique personal brand, you stand out by being your truest self. Chances are your truest self is interested in a lot of different things. My goal is that you truly express yourself fully so you can reach the most people who relate to you, become fans of your brand, and buy from you.
With that being said, let’s dive into this exercise together.
Answer each question with as much detail as possible. You must write your answers down because you’ll use them as the building blocks for your videos and content roadmap.
Part 1) Your Impact:
The Foundation

Great content starts with why. Just like a house needs a solid foundation to stand, your videos need a clear mission and purpose to resonate. If your audience doesn’t know what you stand for, they won’t stick around.
- Answer each question on a notebook or Google doc.
- These answers are the foundation of your content and roadmap.
- Later you’ll use your answers to help construct better videos.
1. Why did you start your business?
2. What were you doing before?
3. What do you aim to contribute as a business owner?
4. What makes you want to do that?
5. What kind of people does your business help and how?
6. How does your business make money?
7. What do you feel your life mission is right now?
8. What do you feel has been the biggest turning point in your life?
9. What is the imprint you want your brand to leave on the world?
10. How do you want to leave that imprint?
Part 2) Your Brand:
The Framing

Your brand is the structure people remember—it gives your content shape. Like framing a house, it defines your look, tone, and identity. Without this, your content has no form, no feel, and no way to stand out.
- Answer each question on a notebook or Google doc.
- These answers are the framing of your content and roadmap.
- Later, you’ll use your answers to help construct better videos.
1. What is the biggest goal you have as a brand?
2. How do you want people to feel when they interact with your business?
3. What do you want people to think of your business?
4. What do you want people to think of you as a business owner?
5. Why do you want people to think those things?
6. What are the 5 core values your brand represents?
7. What are the 5 core values YOU represent?
8. What do you want people to feel when they watch your content?
9. What do you think makes your business different than others?
10. Who are your top 5 favorite creative people and why?
Part 3) Yourself & Your Avatar:
The Interior Systems

The interior systems—the wiring and plumbing—make a house livable. Knowing yourself and your ideal client makes your content relatable. When your message flows directly to your dream audience, everything just clicks.
This is my favorite part.
I said this earlier, but I want to restate it: Don’t make videos for your audience, make videos for yourself, and people who like you will become your audience. This means making stuff YOU want to watch and content YOU think is cool. People similar to you, the avatar of your personal brand, will naturally watch and support your content (more on your avatar ahead).
This isn’t a selfish thing, it’s just good personal branding. Trying to only provide value to your audience isn’t how you get people to like you. Being YOU is. There’s a time and a place to add value, and the customers will come. But if all your videos are “free value” it’s obvious you’re only trying to sell shit. Nobody likes ads. Just be yourself.
With that being said though, nobody cares about you or your business. They just care what you and your business can do for them. Which means your main priority with content is to stand out by being your most authentic self, while also speaking directly to your avatar.
There are 2 sections: Who you are and who your avatar is.
Section 1 is all about you. Your content should appeal to you more than anyone else. In doing so it’ll be as unique as possible. Why? Because it’s your taste. Think about if you made music or another form of art. You would make music that YOU like the most, and in doing so it would be the most unique, what other people haven’t heard before. Your videos are the same way. Stand out by creating what you like.
Section 2 is about your avatar. Your avatar is your ideal customer, who your product or service is aimed towards. It’s important you’re speaking clearly and directly to them in your videos. When we talk about content I’ll show you how to write videos with them in mind.
This way you won’t need a big audience to start converting customers because your videos will be tailored to your avatar and they’ll be unique because your content will be most authentic to you.
- Answer each question on a notebook or Google doc.
- These answers make up the interior design of your content.
- Later, you’ll use your answers to help construct better videos.
Section 1: Yourself
1. What are you most interested in?
2. What are you most passionate about?
3. Why are you passionate about those things?
4. What would you do if you never had/wanted to work?
5. What do you want to accomplish more than anything?
6. What is your definition of success?
7. What content do you enjoy consuming?
8. What makes it enjoyable to you?
Section 2: Your Avatar
1. How old are they?
2. What do they do online?
3. What platform(s) do they use the most?
4. What problems do they have?
5. How much money do they make?
6. What do they want in life?
7. What inspires them?
8. What content do they enjoy consuming?
Part 4) Your Content:
The Exterior Finishes

The finishes are what people see first—the paint, the windows, the curb appeal. Same with content. This is how you present your message visually and verbally. It’s where attention meets clarity. And when done right, it makes people want to step inside and learn more.
Section 1: What to Make
Don’t make content to be liked. Make content that feels like you.
Visually, audibly, emotionally—what naturally appeals to you?
That’s your style. That’s what makes your personal brand personable to you.
I’ll say this one more time: When building a personal brand, don’t make videos for your audience. Make videos for yourself, and people similar to you will become your audience.
This is how you stand out. This is how you build trust. This is how you make videos forever without burning out.
Talk about YOUR experiences. Your stories, your beliefs, your moments. People remember what’s real.
Before you film, decide the 3 most important things you want each video to do.
- Teach? Inspire? Entertain?
- Start conversations? Convert sales?
- Show proof? Build trust?
Section 2: How to Make It
(Planning, Scripting, Filming, Editing, Scheduling, Automating)
Now that you’ve answered deep questions about your business, your brand, yourself, and your audience, it’s time to put it all into motion.
This is where your ideas become visible, tangible, and shareable. This is how you build content that feels like you, speaks to them, and works like a system.
Planning Your Ideas
Answers from Your Foundation, Your Brand, and Yourself generate ideas about what to say, while answers from Your Avatar guide how to say it.
Here’s how to turn your answers into at least 5 pieces of content. Look back at your answers in Parts 1–2. Everything you wrote can be multiple video ideas.
Take your answers and write these 5 things next to them. This helps you turn personal answers into video ideas using 5 different content angles:
1. Then vs Now – Show how you’ve changed.
2. The Moment – Share a defining moment
3. The Process – Teach the steps you took
4. Best/Worst – Highlight the best lesson, or best/worst part
5. I Believe – Share a hot take shaped by your experience
Example 1:
Part 1, Question 7: What do you feel your life mission is right now?
- Then vs Now: How my purpose evolved over the years.
- The Moment: When I realized what my mission really was.
- The Process: How I figured out my current mission in business and life.
- Best/Worst: The best part of working towards a deeper mission.
- I Believe: I believe your mission should drive your message.
Example 2:
Part 2, Question 4: What do you want people to think of you as a business owner?
Then vs Now: I used to want to be seen as an expert. Now I want to be seen as real.
The Moment: When someone told me they trust me more because I share honestly.
The Process: How I’ve shaped my public image over time.
Best/Worst: The best thing that’s happened to me for trying to be real.
I Believe: I believe people buy from people, not profiles.
This framework will give you so many things to talk about and can be used to create multiple pieces of content from any idea.
But remember, people don’t care about you or your business. They only care about what you and your business can do for them.
Scripting Your Videos
You’ve used Part 1 (Your Impact) and Part 2 (Your Brand) to uncover your most meaningful stories, lessons, and values. These gave you what to talk about — and the 5 angles helped turn each answer into different video ideas.
Now, Part 3 (Yourself & Your Avatar) is your sauce.
You’re not making content about the answers in Part 3. You’re using those answers to shape how you present, express, and connect through your content.
Use your own stories. Just follow this structure and your content will stay personal and valuable to your audience. Start with the answers that bring the most emotion.
Your best videos will be the most personal and the most relevant to your audience.
Your Script Should Do 3 Things:
1. Start with your punchline – Hook them with your most valuable point first.
2. Tell the short version of the story behind it – Use your tone, style, and way of speaking.
3. Speak to Them – Write like you’re talking to your avatar. Keep it conversational. Real. You.
You know your avatars pains and desires. Keep these things in mind when writing your script so you can speak directly to them.
Also keep in mind that you’re sharing YOUR beliefs and experiences at the end of the day. So these videos should be written like texts that you’re sending to your ideal client. Not sales scripts but your experiences that you know they’d want to hear about.
Filming Your Videos
The hard part is done. Once you have your idea and a good script, you just have to record it. Here’s my advice for filming.
Before you film, know what style of video you’re making, whether you’re holding your phone and talking to the camera, or vlogging. If you’re making a vlog you can just record the audio of your script and then edit b roll over it.
If you like watching vlogs then make vlogs. If you like watching strong delivery or soft spoken content then make that. Just remember, you’re trying to create your favorite videos so be yourself.
Pull out your script and get familiar with it. Don’t make it sound like you’re reading something. You want the video to feel like you’re on FaceTime with someone, and the person on the other end is your avatar.
If you’re new to this, maybe just take a video of yourself yapping for a while that you know you’ll delete anyways. This will help you get more comfortable on camera before you record. Just know that filming yourself is a skill, and you can learn to be good at it like anything else. It takes practice and reflecting on your practice to get better.
Record your script, I’d recommend in one take because it’ll be easier to edit, and then watch it and see if you like it. When you think you have a good take, time to edit.
Editing Your Videos
If you’ve never edited videos, this might seem super intimidating, but I promise it isn’t very hard considering the content we’re making.
The hardest part about content is being consistent. You’ll get better at scripting, filming and editing if you just start making videos and don’t stop.
I use and would recommend Premiere Pro to edit, but there are a bunch of free apps you can even get on your phone to edit your videos with. CapCut is a great free option that is pretty easy to use.
My advice for editing videos is less technical and more conceptual. Take inspiration from what you enjoy watching the most. Experiment. Editing is where good videos turn into great videos. It’s a skill that can be developed, and when you do that, it’s so easy for your content to look professional and have its own unique feel.
A couple of YouTube videos can teach you what to do once you get an idea of how you want your content to look. If you don’t know how you want your content to look, watch some videos for inspiration. If you still don’t know, play around with your editing software until you make something you start to like. And don’t stop trying new styles.
Scheduling Your Content
I’d recommend scheduling all your content for a couple of reasons:
1. It’ll help you be consistent.
2. You’ll always post at the best times.
3. It’ll save you time.
I personally use a social media management tool called Metricool. When I’m done editing my video, I upload it to Metricool and from there I can schedule the post to get uploaded on every platform I want.
Any tool works, what’s important is that you’re not wasting time manually uploading to every platform (imo).
Automating Your Content
This is huge and sounds more complicated than it is. At this point, you know what to make, why, and how. Now you can streamline your workflow and save as much of your time for whatever moves the needle.
Step 1
Plan content into your month, week, or day. It’s up to you how you want to break this up. Some people film all of their month’s content in one day. Others will have one day a week, and some people, like myself, just make a new video every day. What’s important is knowing your process and how long it takes you so you can put it on your calendar regularly.
Step 2
Once you know your process and have content planned into your schedule, write your process out and how long each step is taking you every month (ideas, scripting, filming, editing, scheduling). Look at what you wrote and see what’s taking the most of your time. Now, solve for each step.
Step 3
If the ideas are taking the most time, I’d recommend scheduling time to think of all your ideas at once. Or better, do this and also use an ai tool to help you come up with them. Telling ChatGPT who you are, who you help, and how you help them is a good place to start.
A step above this is hiring a VA (virtual assistant) to write and script all of your content for you so all you have to do is film. Then having an editor make the videos look nice and paying them to schedule the content for you too.
Essentially just write down your process, see what’s taking the most time, and either batch each step of the process into big chunks so you can get it all done at once, find tools to help you save time with each step, or make videos about your process that you can hire a VA to watch and execute for you.
Part 5) Your Roadmap:
The Key

Your roadmap is the system that keeps your content consistent, strategic, and scalable. It’s the final piece that turns your content into a machine that converts and opens the doors to growth.
1. Your Deliverable
2. Your Intention
3. Your Goal
4. Your Plan
1. Your Deliverable
This is how often you’re posting and at what time. Planning it all out at the beginning of the month is super helpful and will keep you consistent.
You should post the highest quality content you’re capable of making, and as much as possible. Platforms don’t care how much you post, they just want to distribute good content that people engage with. Your goal is to maximize both quality and quantity, however your resources might allow you to.
What I’d recommend is posting at least one really good video every day to every platform your avatar might be using. You can and absolutely should post more than once every day, as long as you’re not sacrificing quality. You also can and absolutely should post less if it means making the quality that much better.
In terms of what times, you can find the best times to post on each platform with a simple Google search or ChatGPT ask. The social media scheduling tool I use, metricool, shows me the best times to post for every platform.
2. Your Intention
We touched on this earlier, but this is the reason you’re actually posting videos, and needs to be well defined. Having a clear intention will make everything else way easier because you’ll be posting for the right reason.
Think of your intention for running paid ads. You know damn well what you intend to happen when you launch your ad. More sales, more leads, brand awareness, etc.
Content should be viewed through a similar lens, and you should have a good reason for why you’re creating and posting each video. For example, my number one intention with everything I post is that my audience learns something about making better videos. My second and third intentions are that my audience is entertained and finds the style of my videos unique.
Defining this for yourself will make the content you make a lot more specific and way easier for you to reach your goal.
3. Your Goal
Have a goal with your content. Do not just yap on camera and hail marry it into the void with your fingers crossed. Content is an amazing acquisition channel because it’s free to post.
But it’s only as amazing as what you’re aiming for. If it’s a certain amount of sales per month or year, that’s great. If it’s an amount of revenue that’s great too. Just get clear on why you’re posting and what you intend to accomplish by posting it, and then create an actionable plan to do so.
4. Your Plan
Your plan focuses more specifically on the different types of content you make to reach the goal you set. You’ll need high funnel content, mid funnel content, and low funnel content.
High funnel content is content that’s broader and attracts a wider range of people. For your personal brand, think content that’s more about YOU than anything else. I personally try to post 2 videos like this a week.
Mid funnel content is closer to your niche and more helpful to your avatar. It’s less about you and more about sharing experiences that help your ideal customer. I try to post 3 videos like this a week.
Low funnel content is content about what you actually offer. The product or service you sell. These videos can be case studies, social proof, you or other people using your product, or maybe you just talking about what you offer. I try to post 2 videos like this a week.
If You Don’t Want to Do All of This:
- Make a content plan
- Think of ideas
- Film those ideas
- Edit the videos
- Post the videos
- Engage with your community
- Be consistent
- Track if it’s converting
- Do it all again until you automate or hire it out
- Risk someone f*cking it up
I make & automate your content: $0 monthly retainer, less than 1 hour/week of your time, and I guarantee you profit in month 1.
Thanks a ton if you read this. I really hope it was valuable. I’d love your feedback so I can continue improving the information I share, so don’t hesitate to DM me your thoughts! Let me know if you need help with your content too.
